A journeyman remembered for one enormous play
Sterling Moore is remembered for a single moment, and it was a big one. An undrafted SMU corner, he was a Patriot in the January 2012 AFC Championship when he knocked the ball out of Lee Evans's hands in the end zone in the closing seconds, sending New England to the Super Bowl instead of Baltimore.
Madden opened him at a 69 and climbed him to a 78 by the 2016 edition, his best stretch as a Dallas nickel corner in 2013 and 2014. He bounced through Tampa Bay, Buffalo, New Orleans and Detroit before coaching, a career more solid than his one famous moment suggests.
