Chad Henne: Michigan record-setter, two Super Bowl rings
Chad Henne was born on July 2, 1985, in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. At Michigan he passed for 9,715 yards and 87 touchdowns, both school records. The Miami Dolphins drafted him 57th overall in 2008, and Madden NFL 09 listed him at 77 overall as a rookie. He replaced an injured Chad Pennington in 2009 and made his first start on October 4, a 38-10 win over Buffalo.
Henne started 14 games in 2010 and threw for 3,301 yards with 15 touchdowns and 19 interceptions; Madden NFL 11 carried him at 79 overall, his highest figure. A dislocated left shoulder ended his 2011 season after four starts. He signed with Jacksonville in March 2012 and came off the bench against Houston on November 18, 2012, to throw for 354 yards and four touchdowns. He started 13 games in 2013, when Madden NFL 25 listed him at 74 overall.
He backed up Blake Bortles in Jacksonville through 2017, then signed with Kansas City in March 2018 and spent five seasons behind Patrick Mahomes, winning Super Bowl LIV and Super Bowl LVII. Madden NFL 20 listed him at 58 overall for 2019. On January 21, 2023, he replaced an injured Mahomes in the divisional round and led a 98-yard touchdown drive against Jacksonville. He retired the following month with 13,290 passing yards, 60 touchdowns and 63 interceptions over 15 seasons.
