'The Eraser' who tied for the 2015 interception lead

They called Reggie Nelson 'The Eraser' at Florida, where he helped win the 2006 national title, and Jacksonville took him 21st overall in 2007 to patrol the deep middle. The ball found him. He tied for the NFL lead with eight interceptions in 2015, the best year of a Cincinnati run that produced back-to-back Pro Bowls, and he retired with 31 picks across twelve seasons with the Jaguars, Bengals, and Raiders.

Madden loved the young version most: a strong 82 as a rookie in the 2007 edition, then a leap to a career-high 92 in the 2008 edition on the strength of his range and closing speed. The rating cooled through the middle Jacksonville years before his Cincinnati resurgence pushed it back toward the high 80s. A center fielder who trusted his eyes and broke on the throw before the receiver knew it was coming.
