Vincent Jackson Madden Career 2006-2017 - Peak 92 OVR

Vincent Jackson was born on January 14, 1983, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and played college football at Northern Colorado. The San Diego Chargers drafted him in the second round, 61st overall, in 2005. He caught three passes in eight games as a rookie and did not start, and Madden NFL 06 listed him at 74 for that season.

Jackson started all 16 games in 2007 and broke through the following year with 59 catches for 1,098 yards and seven touchdowns, a season Madden NFL 09 rated at 89. He gained 1,167 receiving yards in 2009 and made his first Pro Bowl. He played five games in 2010, then returned for 1,106 yards and a second Pro Bowl in 2011, a season Madden NFL 12 put at 87.

Tampa Bay signed him in 2012, and he set career highs of 1,384 receiving yards and 19.2 yards per catch on 72 receptions, earning a third Pro Bowl. Madden NFL 25 moved him to 92 for 2013, when he caught a career-high 78 passes for 1,224 yards. Jackson finished with 540 receptions, 9,080 receiving yards and 57 touchdowns in 155 games. He was found dead in a hotel room in Brandon, Florida, on February 15, 2021, at 38; the medical examiner ruled the cause chronic alcohol use, and researchers later diagnosed Stage 2 chronic traumatic encephalopathy.
