A gamble who won his ring after leaving

Chris Canty nearly fell out of the draft, a two-time All-ACC end at Virginia who tore up his knee and detached a retina before 2005, dropping to the fourth round, where Dallas gambled. It paid off with a big, run-stuffing 3-4 end.

Madden climbed him from a 79 to an 87 by the 2013 edition, his best years with the Giants, where a 2009 free-agent deal led to a Super Bowl XLVI title over the Patriots. He finished with the Ravens and more than 22 sacks, a steady end who overcame serious injuries and peaked away from the team that drafted him.
