A field-position weapon for the 49ers

Andy Lee combined booming leg strength with precise placement and pinned opponents deep for San Francisco for more than a decade, a punter whose work genuinely changed games. The Pittsburgh product led the league in net and gross average in his best years.

Madden had him at 77 as a rookie and a 96 by the 2008 edition, then kept him high for years. Multiple Pro Bowls and All-Pro nods later, he was among the very best at his craft.
