Jabari Greer left Tennessee having played 51 games, a school record, and still went undrafted in 2004 because scouts decided a corner his size would get bullied by bigger NFL receivers. He answered that for a decade. Buffalo signed him as a free agent and used him at nickel and dime before he grew into a starter, returning two interceptions for touchdowns in 2008.

The Saints handed him a four-year deal in 2009, and Greer became the quiet technician on the outside of a defense that finally won something. Across that championship run he piled up three interceptions and 11 passes defensed in the postseason, and New Orleans beat Peyton Manning's Colts 31-17 in Super Bowl XLIV. His coverage was clean footwork and timing rather than collisions, which is why he lasted.

A torn ACL against the 49ers ended things in September 2014, and the Saints inducted him into their Hall of Fame in 2023. His Madden line reflects the late bloom: a flat 69 across the mid-2000s, a jump to 82 in the 2008 edition once Buffalo trusted him, then a climb to a peak of 90 in the 2011 edition after the ring.
