Hank Fraley Madden Career 2002-2011 - Peak 89 OVR

Undrafted out of Division I-AA Robert Morris in 2000, Hank Fraley was cut by his hometown Steelers before he ever anchored a line in Philadelphia. Nicknamed Honey Buns, he became Donovan McNabb's center and the pivot of the Eagles' offensive line through their best stretch, starting five straight seasons from 2001 to 2005 and snapping in Super Bowl XXXIX, the 24-21 loss to New England.

He lost his job to Jamaal Jackson in 2006 and was dealt to Cleveland, where he started for four more years before finishing with the 2010 Rams. Never a mauler, he won with leverage, intelligence, and clean line calls.

His Madden trajectory reads the way an undrafted lineman's should. He was a 51 in the 2001 edition and a 62 in 2002 before breaking through to 86 and 87 across the mid-decade releases. The high point came late, an 89 in the 2008 edition during his Cleveland run, before the number slid into the high 70s and low 80s to close out in 2011.
