Dre' Bly Madden Career 2002-2009 - Peak 91 OVR

Dre' Bly was born May 22, 1977 in Chesapeake, Virginia, and played three seasons at North Carolina. As a freshman in 1996 he led the nation with 11 interceptions, and he left with 20, then the ACC career record, plus consensus All-America honors in 1996 and 1997. The St. Louis Rams took him 41st overall in the 1999 draft, and he intercepted three passes as a rookie in the season that ended with a Super Bowl XXXIV win over Tennessee.

Bly started nine games across his first three years and all 16 in 2002; Madden NFL 2001 rated him 76 for the 2000 season. He signed with the Detroit Lions in 2003 and had six interceptions and two defensive touchdowns that year, the first of two straight Pro Bowl selections. Madden NFL 04 listed him at 83 for 2003, and Madden NFL 05 put him at 91 for the 2004 season, the highest figure of his career, after four interceptions and 19 passes defensed.

Detroit traded him to Denver in 2007, and he started all 32 games across two Broncos seasons before finishing with the San Francisco 49ers in 2009, the year Madden NFL 10 rated him 77. He played 167 games in all, with 43 interceptions for 652 yards and five return touchdowns, 150 passes defensed and 528 tackles. Bly was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2014.
