Eleven quiet seasons anchoring the right edge
Todd Weiner spent eleven seasons as a right tackle coaches trusted and fans rarely noticed, which along the offensive line is its own compliment. Kansas State sent him to Seattle in the second round of the 1998 draft after a second-team All-America senior year, and he started at right tackle for the Seahawks before signing with Atlanta.
With the Falcons he protected the edge for the Michael Vick offenses and the years after, appearing in 152 games with 116 starts across his career. He was steady rather than flashy, a reliable bookend on the right side.
Madden's respect grew over time: a 67 in the 2000 edition early in his Seattle days, up into the high 80s in Atlanta, and a career-best 91 in the 2007 game before dropping to 84 for his final season.
