Todd Perry Madden Career 1995-2004 - Peak 92 OVR
Kentucky guard who started 144 games and rarely missed
Todd Perry did the job for eleven years and asked for no attention while doing it. A fourth-round pick out of Kentucky in 1993, 97th overall, he walked into the Chicago Bears' line and stayed there for eight seasons before finishing with three years in Miami. When he was done he had played 165 games and started 144 of them, the resume of a guard whose greatest skill was showing up healthy and prepared.
He wore number 75 in both cities and never made a Pro Bowl, which undersells how much coaches valued a body they could pencil in every Sunday. Kentucky eventually put him in its Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2017.
His Madden line runs backward from the usual arc, which fits a player already established when the ratings caught him. He was a 92 in the 1996 edition, near the top of his Chicago prime, then drifted into the 60s and 70s as the years and the mileage added up through his Miami finish.
