Marco Coleman: Georgia Tech DE, 65.5 sacks, 14 seasons
Marco Coleman was born on December 18, 1969 in Dayton, Ohio, and played college football at Georgia Tech, where he shared the 1990 national championship and left as the school's career sacks leader with 28. He was a first-team All-American in 1991. The Miami Dolphins drafted him 12th overall in 1992; he recorded six sacks as a rookie and made the PFWA All-Rookie Team.
Coleman played right defensive end in Miami through 1995, a stretch Madden NFL 94 opened at a calculated 69 for the 1993 season. He signed with the San Diego Chargers in March 1996 and started 47 of 48 games over three seasons there; Madden NFL 99 listed him at a calculated 78 for 1998. He joined Washington as an unrestricted free agent in June 1999.
He recorded a career-high 12 sacks in 2000 and was selected to the Pro Bowl, and Madden NFL 2001 carried him at a stored 83. Single seasons in Jacksonville and Philadelphia followed, then two years in Denver; Madden NFL 04 had him at 80 for the 2003 season. He retired after 2005 with 65.5 sacks over 14 seasons, and later coached defensive linemen for the Oakland Raiders, Georgia Tech and Michigan State.
