The huge nose tackle who rumbled 62 yards to score
Traylor started his career as a linebacker and finished it as a nose tackle who carried well over 300 pounds, one of the widest bodies in the league. Denver took him in the third round in 1991 out of Central Oklahoma, and for all his bulk he could move. In 1997 he picked off a pass and rumbled 62 yards to the end zone against Buffalo, an unforgettable sight for a man his size.
That was the first of Denver's back-to-back title years. Traylor won Super Bowls XXXII and XXXIII with the Broncos, then added a third ring with New England in Super Bowl XXXIX, closing a 17-year run that also included Kansas City, Chicago and Miami.
His Madden line reflects the respect a good run-stuffer eventually earns. He was a 41 in the 1996 edition when nobody saw him coming, climbed into the mid-80s during his prime, and reached a top mark of 90 in the 2003 game before easing back to the low 80s in his later years.
