Ken O'Brien Madden Career 1992-1994 - Peak 66 OVR

Ken O'Brien was born November 27, 1960 in Rockville Centre, New York, and played college football at Sacramento State and UC Davis, where he was a Division II All-American in 1982. The New York Jets took him 24th overall in the 1983 draft, three picks before Miami selected Dan Marino.

In 1985 he led the NFL with a 96.2 passer rating and the lowest interception rate, made the Pro Bowl and helped the Jets to an 11-5 record. He threw for 479 yards and four touchdowns in a 51-45 overtime win over Marino's Dolphins on September 21, 1986. On November 2, 1986 he went 26 of 32 for 431 yards against Seattle, the first quarterback to post a perfect 158.3 rating in a 400-yard game.

Madden NFL 92 listed him at a calculated 59 for the 1991 season, when he started all 16 games and returned to the Pro Bowl; Madden NFL 93 gave him a calculated 66 for 1992, when he made three starts. He signed with Philadelphia for 1993 and started four games behind Randall Cunningham and Bubby Brister, and Madden NFL 94 listed a calculated 42 for that final season. He went 50-59-1 as a starter with 25,094 passing yards, 128 touchdowns and 98 interceptions, and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1997.
