Travis Etienne left Clemson as the most productive back in ACC history, with 4,952 rushing yards and 70 rushing touchdowns, a two-time conference Player of the Year who scored in an FBS-record 46 straight games. Jacksonville took him 25th overall in 2021, then watched a preseason Lisfranc injury wipe out his entire rookie year before he ever carried the ball.
He answered in 2022 with 1,125 yards on the ground, followed by an 11-touchdown, 1,008-yard season in 2023 that showed the burst scouts loved out of Death Valley. His volume and long speed carried the Jacksonville backfield through some lean years, and by 2026 he had moved on to New Orleans, where the Saints corrected everyone by pointing out his name is pronounced AY-chan.
