Jonathan Taylor was born on January 19, 1999 in Salem, New Jersey, and set a state rushing record at Salem High School. He ran for more than 6,000 yards in three seasons at Wisconsin, and Indianapolis took him in the second round of the 2020 draft, 41st overall. He gained 1,169 yards and scored 11 rushing touchdowns as a rookie, a season Madden NFL 21 rated 73.
In 2021 he led the NFL with 1,811 rushing yards and 18 rushing touchdowns and was named a unanimous first-team All-Pro. Madden NFL 22 rated him 83 for that year, and Madden NFL 23 rated him 95 for 2022, the highest figure of his career. He played 11 games in 2022 and 10 in 2023, gaining 861 and 741 rushing yards. Madden NFL 24 rated him 89 for 2023.
Taylor ran for 1,431 yards in 14 games in 2024. He carried 323 times for 1,585 yards in 2025 and led the league with 18 rushing touchdowns and 20 total touchdowns.
