Fourth-round steal who locked down slot and boundary alike
Kansas City found L'Jarius Sneed in the fourth round of the 2020 draft, 138th overall out of Louisiana Tech, and turned him into one of the league's most valuable coverage pieces. He could line up in the slot, shadow a boundary receiver, or blitz off the edge, and the Chiefs used him every way. He won two rings, beating the Eagles in Super Bowl LVII and the 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII, and his tackling and press coverage were central to those defenses. Over six seasons he has collected 10 interceptions and roughly 260 tackles.
His Madden number climbed with the role. He debuted as a 67 in the 2020 edition, jumped to 80 the next year, and sat in the low 80s before the 2024 edition rewarded his best work with a 92. Kansas City traded him to Tennessee in 2024, and the 2025 edition brought him back to 84 as he adjusted to a rebuilding defense. The physical, plug-him-anywhere skill set is still the calling card.
