Andrew Norwell went unpicked through all seven rounds of the 2014 draft despite back-to-back all-Big Ten seasons at Ohio State. Carolina signed him off the scrap heap, and he worked his way into the starting lineup, blocking for the Panthers team that reached Super Bowl 50. In 2017 he earned first-team All-Pro honors, cementing himself as one of the best guards in football.

That recognition turned into money. In March 2018 he signed a five-year, $66.5 million deal with Jacksonville that made him the highest-paid guard in the league at the time, with $30 million guaranteed. He later played for Washington before an elbow injury ended things in 2023. In Madden he opened as a 79 in the 2015 edition as a young starter, then surged to a career-high 91 in the 2018 game on the strength of that All-Pro season, before settling into the low 80s across his years in Jacksonville and Washington.
