Bruce Carter was a gifted, rangy linebacker out of North Carolina, a Butkus finalist whose senior-year ACL tear dropped him to the second round in 2011. Dallas spent his rookie year letting him recover, and he became a starter in 2012, the athleticism obvious even when the consistency was not.
