Deon Anderson was born January 27, 1983, in Providence, Rhode Island, signed with Connecticut as a linebacker and was moved to fullback as a true freshman. He sat out the 2005 season after losing his scholarship over his grades, then paid his own way back to the team in 2006 and was voted team MVP. Dallas traded up five spots with Cleveland to take him in the sixth round of the 2007 draft, 195th overall.
He replaced an injured Oliver Hoyte as the starting fullback in the third game of his rookie year, then went on injured reserve with a rotator cuff injury after eight games. He played 14 games in 2008, a season he began with a knee scope in September, and Madden NFL 09 rated him 83. He appeared in all 16 games and started nine in 2009, the year Madden NFL 10 rated him 76.
A torn meniscus required arthroscopic surgery on September 16, 2010, and Dallas waived him eight days later after one appearance. Madden NFL 11 rated him 76 that season. Miami signed him on October 19, 2010 and placed him on injured reserve with a triceps injury 12 days later. All 39 of his NFL games came for Dallas, and he caught nine passes for 67 yards. The Dolphins waived him on March 3, 2011.
