Jason Campbell: Auburn SEC POY, No. 25 Pick in 2005
Jason Campbell was born on December 31, 1981, in Laurel, Mississippi. He led Auburn to an undefeated season in 2004 and was named SEC Offensive Player of the Year, and Washington traded up to draft him 25th overall in 2005. He did not play as a rookie, and Madden NFL 06 listed him at 78 overall for the 2005 season. He made his first start on November 19, 2006, against Tampa Bay, and won his first game a week later against Carolina.
Campbell started all 16 games in 2008 as Washington opened 6-2 before finishing 8-8. Madden NFL 09 rated him 86 overall for that season, the highest mark of his career. Washington acquired Donovan McNabb and traded Campbell to Oakland on April 24, 2010. He threw two touchdowns in a 59-14 Week 7 win over Denver that set a Raiders single-game scoring record, and Madden NFL 11 listed him at 83 overall for that 2010 season.
A broken collarbone ended his 2011 season after six starts, and Oakland traded for Carson Palmer to replace him. Campbell backed up Jay Cutler in Chicago in 2012, then started eight games for Cleveland in 2013 and was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week for a Week 9 win over Baltimore. He spent 2014 as Andy Dalton's backup in Cincinnati. He finished with 16,771 passing yards, 87 touchdowns and 60 interceptions across nine seasons.
