Ronnie Brown Madden Career 2006-2014 - Peak 92 OVR
The Wildcat's first star and Miami's No. 2 overall pick
On a September Sunday in 2008, Ronnie Brown lined up in a formation nobody in the NFL was running and broke the New England Patriots in half. Taking direct snaps out of what Miami called the Wildcat, he scored four rushing touchdowns and threw a fifth to Anthony Fasano, and the Dolphins won 38-13. The plays he ran that afternoon spread to every level of football within a year.
Brown was the second overall pick of the 2005 draft, taken by Miami out of Auburn ahead of his college backfield partner Carnell Williams. He finished with 4,099 rushing yards and 35 touchdowns across stops in Miami, Philadelphia and San Diego, and made the Pro Bowl after the 2008 season. Knee and foot injuries kept him from the workhorse totals his talent suggested.
Madden followed all of it. He opened at 84 in the 2005 edition, peaked at 92 in the 2008 edition, and drifted to 77 by the 2012 edition as injuries and shared carries thinned his production.
