Benji Olson was a consensus first-team All-American guard at Washington who slid to the fifth round in 1998, going 139th overall to the Tennessee Oilers. He turned that slight into a career, spending all ten of his NFL seasons with the same franchise and starting 140 of 152 regular-season games. He was a road grader who cleared lanes for Eddie George while the Titans built one of the AFC's toughest offenses.
He started at guard in Super Bowl XXXIV, the game the Titans lost to Kurt Warner and the Rams when Kevin Dyson was stopped a yard short. Olson stayed a fixture on that line until his 2007 retirement. His Madden number reflected his steady climb into an elite blocker: a 78 in the 2000 edition, and after settling in as an anchor he reached a peak of 91 in both the 2004 and 2007 editions, with high-80s marks in between.
