Quentin Jammer Madden Career 2003-2014 - Peak 93 OVR

Quentin Jammer was a hitter first, a cornerback who wanted to put his hands on receivers and dare officials to flag him. The Chargers took the Texas All-American fifth overall in 2002, and after some rocky early seasons flagged for contact, he settled into a steady, physical starter who anchored San Diego's corner for a dozen years.

Jammer started for a decade in San Diego, his best ball-production year coming in 2006 with four interceptions. He was never a big pick-getter, but he took on the opponent's top target and tackled like a strong safety, which is where Denver eventually leaned on him in 2013. He was on the Broncos roster that reached Super Bowl XLVIII, though he did not play in the game, and he earned a spot on the Chargers 50th Anniversary Team.

Madden treated him as a reliable veteran who peaked late. He started at 78 in the 2002 edition and climbed steadily, reaching his high of 93 in the 2008 game before settling into the high 80s through the back half of his career, still an 89 in the 2011 edition.
