The Cardinals castoff who became Philadelphia's interior wrecker
Darwin Walker barely played as a rookie. Arizona took him 71st overall in 2000 out of Tennessee, then shipped him to Philadelphia, where he found a home in Jim Johnson's attacking defense. He became a genuine interior pass-rush threat, posting 7.5 sacks in 2002 and collecting 27.5 of his 28.5 career sacks in a Philadelphia uniform across seven seasons.
He was never a Pro Bowler, but on some very good Eagles fronts he was the tackle who pushed the pocket back into the quarterback's lap. After the 2006 season he moved on through Buffalo, Chicago and Carolina to finish his career. In college at Tennessee he logged 9.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks as a senior.
His Madden arc reflects the leap from anonymous draftee to trusted starter. He sat at 61 in the 2002 edition, then rocketed to 89 in the 2003 game once his production caught up, and reached his high of 90 in the 2004 edition. He held in the high 80s through 2006 before sliding to the 70s as he bounced between teams late.
