Damien Woody Madden Career 2000-2011 - Peak 93 OVR

Damien Woody entered the league as a center and left it as a right tackle, having filled nearly every job on the line in between. New England took him 17th overall out of Boston College in 1999, and he started as a rookie on his way to All-Rookie honors. His only quirk was snapping from the shotgun, which he struggled with enough that the Patriots sometimes slid him to guard on those plays.

Woody won two Super Bowls in New England, XXXVI and XXXVIII, though a knee injury kept him out of the second title game. He made the Pro Bowl in 2002, then moved on to Detroit and finally the Jets, where he bulked up and thrived at tackle. He started 166 of his 173 career games, a testament to how rarely he came off the field.

His Madden number reflected that consistency. Woody opened at 82 in the 2000 edition, climbed into the low 90s through his Patriots and Lions years, and reached a career-high 93 in the 2006 edition while blocking for Detroit before easing down as he shifted positions late in his career.
