William Thomas: 27 interceptions, 37 sacks, two Pro Bowls

William Harrison Thomas was born on August 13, 1968, in Amarillo, Texas, attended Palo Duro High School and played linebacker at Texas A&M. The Philadelphia Eagles drafted him in the fourth round of the 1991 NFL Draft with the 104th pick. He started seven games as a rookie and took over at right outside linebacker in 1992, a job he held for the rest of the decade. Madden NFL 95 rated him a calculated 92 for the 1994 season.

Thomas intercepted seven passes in 1995, was named second-team All-Pro by the Associated Press and made the first of two consecutive Pro Bowls. He missed only four games across nine seasons in Philadelphia. Madden NFL 98 listed him at a calculated 89 for the 1997 season, and Madden NFL 99 followed with a calculated 86 for 1998.

He signed with the Oakland Raiders in 2000 and started at left outside linebacker as the team reached the AFC Championship Game on January 14, 2001, where it lost 16-3 to Baltimore. Madden NFL 2001 put him at 81 for the 2000 season. He played one more year and retired after 2001 with 27 interceptions and 37 sacks in 172 games, a combination that placed him in the NFL's 20/20 club. He worked as a volunteer assistant coach at La Salle University in 2007.
