J.C. Jackson took a jagged path to the NFL, from Florida to Riverside City College to Maryland, with a shoulder injury and off-field trouble along the way, and no team drafted him in 2018. New England signed him as a free agent, and within a year he was picking off passes like a first-rounder. He grabbed a defensive back's dream, a role on a title team, contributing to the Patriots' Super Bowl LIII win as a rookie.
