Trevor Lawrence was born on October 6, 1999, in Knoxville, Tennessee. He started as a true freshman at Clemson and was offensive MVP of the January 2019 national championship game, a 44-16 win over Alabama. Jacksonville selected him first overall in the 2021 draft. He started all 17 games as a rookie, threw for 3,641 yards and led the league with 17 interceptions; Madden NFL 22 listed him at 78 for that season.

In 2022 he threw for 4,113 yards with 25 touchdowns and eight interceptions, beat Tennessee in the finale to clinch the AFC South, and made the Pro Bowl. In the wild card round on January 14, 2023, he threw four first-half interceptions against the Chargers and three second-half touchdowns in a 31-30 win, the third-largest comeback in NFL history. He passed for 4,016 yards in 2023, the season for which Madden NFL 24 gave him his highest mark, 82.

He signed a five-year, $275 million extension in June 2024. A shoulder sprain and a concussion held him to 10 games that year, and Madden NFL 25 listed him at 77 for the season. In 2025 he threw for 4,007 yards and 29 touchdowns, ran for nine more, won a second AFC South title and was a finalist for AP Most Valuable Player; Madden NFL 26 had him at 75. Through the 2025 season he had 17,822 passing yards, 98 touchdown passes and 58 interceptions in 77 games.
