A pulling Stanford guard who reached the second level

David DeCastro pulled around the edge and got to linebackers before they knew he was coming. The Stanford product, a first-round pick of Pittsburgh in 2012, was smart, athletic and powerful, and for years he protected Ben Roethlisberger as one of the best guards in football.

Madden had him at 82 as a rookie and a 95 by the 2018 edition, in the thick of a run of Pro Bowl and All-Pro seasons. Six Pro Bowls, all in Pittsburgh, made him a fixture on a consistently good line.
