The Florida twin who took over his brother's center spot

Pouncey spent his college career one snap removed from his identical twin. At Florida he moved from guard to center as a senior in 2010, taking over the position his brother Maurkice had just left for the NFL. Miami drafted him 15th overall in 2011, a year after Pittsburgh took Maurkice 18th, making them a rare set of twins to go in the first round of back-to-back drafts.

He anchored the Dolphins line for seven seasons and made four Pro Bowls, in 2013, 2014, 2015 and again in 2018 after moving to the Chargers, becoming one of the few Dolphins to earn the honor at two positions. He started all 114 games he played.

In Madden he debuted at 79 in the 2011 edition and climbed to a peak 89 in the 2013 game after his first Pro Bowl. A run of injuries pulled the number to 75 by the 2018 edition, but his Chargers revival bumped it back to 82 in 2019. He and Maurkice announced their retirements together in early 2021, Mike signing a one-day contract to leave as a Dolphin.
