Randall Cobb was born on August 22, 1990 in Maryville, Tennessee, played quarterback and receiver at Kentucky, and was drafted by Green Bay in the second round of the 2011 draft with the 64th pick. In his first NFL game, against New Orleans in September 2011, he returned a kickoff 108 yards for a touchdown, matching the longest return in league history to that point. Madden NFL 12 listed him at 70 for the season.
On the last Sunday of the 2013 season, back from a fractured leg, he caught a 48-yard touchdown from Aaron Rodgers on fourth down with 38 seconds left to beat Chicago 33-28 and take the NFC North, and Madden NFL 25 put him at 88 for that year. He caught 91 passes for 1,287 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2014 and was added to the Pro Bowl as an injury replacement. Madden NFL 16 listed a career-high 91 for the 2015 season.
Cobb played for Dallas in 2019 and Houston in 2020, returned to Green Bay for 2021 and 2022, and spent 2023 with the New York Jets, a season Madden NFL 24 put at 76. Over 13 seasons he caught 630 passes for 7,624 yards and 54 touchdowns. He was inducted into the Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame in September 2025.
