D'Qwell Jackson Madden Career 2007-2017 - Peak 90 OVR
Led the NFL in tackles, then intercepted Brady in the playoffs
D'Qwell Jackson led the entire NFL with 154 tackles in 2008, his third season out of Maryland, and did it for a Browns team that gave its middle linebacker plenty of chances to make plays. Cleveland had taken him 34th overall in the 2006 draft, and he became the heartbeat of the defense, later pacing the league in solo tackles in 2011 after a torn pectoral had cost him most of 2009 and 2010.
That durability and volume showed up in his ratings arc, which climbed steadily from a 77 in the 2006 edition to its high mark of 90 in the 2012 game before settling back into the 80s. He signed with Indianapolis in 2014 and, in the AFC Championship Game that January, picked off a Tom Brady pass that later became a footnote in the Deflategate saga.
He earned a Pro Bowl nod as an alternate in 2014 and kept producing into his thirties with the Colts. After football he returned to Cleveland as a pro scout.
