Titans run-blocking guard who paved for Eddie George
Piller arrived in the NFL with a national title already on his resume, having blocked for Steve Spurrier's 1996 Florida Gators before the Titans took him in the third round, 81st overall, in 1999. He walked straight into a title run, as Tennessee reached Super Bowl XXXIV his rookie season and fell one yard short of the Rams. Over eight years in Nashville he played 87 games with 58 starts at guard, opening holes for Eddie George and helping keep Steve McNair upright.
He was a load in the run game, a first-team All-SEC pick and captain at Florida who carried that physical style into the pros. The Madden ratings caught up once he locked down a starting job, climbing from a 63 in the 2002 edition to an 83 in 2003 and a career-best 90 in 2004, then holding in the high 80s before settling at 83 on his final 2007 card.
