Will Witherspoon made his money by being unplaceable. A third-round pick out of Georgia in 2002, 73rd overall, he played middle, strong-side, and weak-side linebacker across a 12-year career, and coaches moved him wherever the week's problem lived. As a rookie-era Panther he reached Super Bowl XXXVIII and racked up a career-high 16 tackles in the loss to New England, running sideline to sideline all night.

His best individual work came in St. Louis. He posted 113 tackles in 2006 and was named the Rams' MVP in 2007, and back in 2004 he had shown the range that defined him with four interceptions and three sacks in a single season. His travels also took him through Philadelphia and Tennessee before a return to St. Louis to finish.

His rating settled into a long, steady prime rather than one big spike. He was a 76 in the 2003 edition, climbed into the high 80s across his Carolina and early Rams years, and hit a 92 in the 2008 game before easing into the low 80s as his career wound down.
