Josh McCown: nine NFL teams, 98 touchdown passes
Joshua Treadwell McCown was born on July 4, 1979, in Jacksonville, Texas, played college football at SMU and Sam Houston State, and was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the third round with the 81st pick of the 2002 NFL Draft. Madden NFL 03 listed him at 55 overall for his rookie season. On December 28, 2003, he threw a 28-yard touchdown pass to Nate Poole as time expired to beat Minnesota 18-17 and knock the Vikings out of playoff contention.
McCown started 13 games for Arizona in 2004, and Madden NFL 05 rated him 79 overall for that season. He went on to appear in regular-season games for Detroit, Oakland, Carolina, Chicago, Tampa Bay, Cleveland, the New York Jets and Philadelphia. His 2013 work for the Bears produced 1,829 passing yards, 13 touchdowns and one interception in eight games, and Madden NFL 15 rated him 83 overall for 2014, the year he started 11 games in Tampa Bay. Madden NFL 19 listed him at 78 overall for the 2018 season, his second with the Jets.
He signed with Philadelphia in August 2019 and entered the wild-card game against Seattle in Philadelphia on January 5, 2020, after Carson Wentz left with a concussion, playing the rest of the game with a torn hamstring. He was never selected to a Pro Bowl. McCown did not play again and finished with 17,731 passing yards, 98 touchdown passes and 82 interceptions.
