Sean Dawkins Madden Career 1995-2002 - Peak 92 OVR

Sean Dawkins was born on February 3, 1971, in Red Bank, New Jersey, and was raised in Sunnyvale, California, attending Homestead High School in Cupertino. He was a consensus first-team All-American at California in 1992 and left after his junior year. The Indianapolis Colts selected him in the first round of the 1993 NFL draft, 16th overall, the second receiver taken.

Dawkins started 16 games in his second season, which Madden NFL 95 carried at a calculated 92 overall. After the 1995 season the Colts won two playoff games before losing the AFC Championship Game to Pittsburgh. Madden NFL 97 listed his 1996 season at 62. He spent 1998 with the New Orleans Saints, a season Madden NFL 99 rated at a calculated 83, then signed with the Seattle Seahawks as a free agent in 1999.

He had his most productive year in 1999 with 58 receptions for 992 yards, and started all 16 games in 2000, a season Madden NFL 2001 listed at 84. He caught 20 passes for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2001, signed with Minnesota before the 2002 season and was released in final cuts. Dawkins finished with 445 receptions for 6,291 yards and 25 touchdowns. He later worked in real estate in Sacramento and trained as a police officer in San Jose, and he died of cardiac arrest on August 9, 2023, at the age of 52.
