Jim Harbaugh was born on December 23, 1963 in Toledo, Ohio, played at Michigan, and was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the first round of the 1987 draft with the 26th pick. He started for Chicago from 1990 through 1993 and threw 15 touchdown passes in 1991, when the Bears went 11-5. Madden NFL 95 put him at a calculated 80 for the 1994 season, his first in Indianapolis.
In 1995 he completed 63.7 percent of his passes for 2,575 yards with 17 touchdowns and five interceptions and led the NFL with a 100.7 passer rating, which brought his only Pro Bowl selection. The Colts reached the AFC Championship Game on January 14, 1996 and lost 20-16 at Pittsburgh when his last-play pass to Aaron Bailey fell incomplete in the end zone. Madden NFL 97 listed him at 55 for the 1996 season.
He spent 1998 in Baltimore and 1999 and 2000 in San Diego, and Madden NFL 99 rated him a calculated 95 for the 1998 season. Madden NFL 02 listed him at 65 for the 2001 season, which he spent on the Carolina roster without recording a statistic. He later coached the University of San Diego, Stanford, the San Francisco 49ers and Michigan. He finished his playing career with 26,288 passing yards, 129 touchdown passes and 2,787 rushing yards.
