CeeDee Lamb was the best receiver in a loaded 2020 class, a consensus All-American at Oklahoma who once averaged better than 21 yards a catch over a full season, and somehow he slid to Dallas at the 17th pick, the third receiver off the board. The Cowboys have spent the years since looking like they got away with something, watching him grow from complementary piece into the centerpiece of the whole offense.

His Madden card climbed as steadily as any in the game. He opened at a 75 as a rookie, then rose every single year, an 81, an 85, a 90, and a peak of 96 in Madden NFL 25, the number matching a receiver who had just put up one of the great seasons in franchise history. There was no glitch and no divergence to flag here, just a straight line up, the grade and the production climbing together in lockstep the way they are supposed to.

The 2023 season is the one the 96 is built on, 135 catches and 1,749 yards, both Cowboys records, the year he became the offense's engine rather than an accessory to it.
