The nation's top recruit turned Packers edge rusher
Gary arrived as the consensus number one high school recruit in the country and left Michigan as the 12th overall pick in 2019. He has spoken openly about competing with dyslexia, calling it the push that drove him. In Green Bay he grew into a genuine edge threat, posting 9.5 sacks and 81 pressures in 2021, third among the league's rushers.
A torn ACL against Detroit in November 2022 interrupted the ascent, but he returned to make his first Pro Bowl for the 2024 season.
The Madden progression rewards that 2021 leap. He was a 73 as a rookie in the 2019 edition, dipped to 72 in 2020, jumped to 81 in 2021, and hit a peak 89 in the 2022 game before the knee injury nudged him to 88 and then into the low 80s by 2025. Green Bay traded him to Dallas in March 2026 for a future fourth-round pick.
