Maxx Crosby was born on August 22, 1997 in Lapeer, Michigan, and grew up in Colleyville, Texas. He played college football at Eastern Michigan and was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the fourth round of the 2019 draft, 106th overall. He had 10 sacks in 16 games as a rookie, a season Madden NFL 20 rated 67.
Crosby made his first Pro Bowl and was named second-team All-Pro after the 2021 season. He recorded 12.5 sacks and 88 tackles in 2022, a year Madden NFL 23 rated 87. He set career highs in 2023 with 14.5 sacks, 23 tackles for loss and 90 tackles, and he earned a second second-team All-Pro selection. Madden NFL 24 rated him 94 for that season.
An ankle injury from Week 2 of 2024 required surgery and ended his year after 12 games and 7.5 sacks, a season Madden NFL 25 rated 97. He returned in 2025 for 10 sacks, a career-high 28 tackles for loss and his first interception, then had meniscus surgery in January 2026.
