Randy Gregory was born November 23, 1992 in Jacksonville, Florida, and attended Hamilton Southeastern High School in Fishers, Indiana. He spent two years at Arizona Western College before transferring to Nebraska, then tested positive for marijuana at the February 2015 combine. Dallas took him in the second round with the 60th pick that April. Madden NFL 16 rated him 73 for 2015.
Suspensions under the league's substance-abuse policy cost him all but two games of 2016 and the whole of the 2017 and 2019 seasons. His most productive year in Dallas came in 2021, when he recorded six sacks in 12 games. Madden NFL 22 rated him 77 for 2021.
He signed a five-year, $70 million contract with Denver in March 2022 and played six games there. Denver released him during the 2023 season, San Francisco claimed him, and he reached Super Bowl LVIII that February. Madden NFL 24 rated him 83 for 2023. Tampa Bay signed him in April 2024 and released him that August without his appearing in a game, and Madden NFL 25 rated him 72 for 2024. He finished with 22 sacks in 72 regular-season games.
