Keenan Allen was born April 27, 1992 in Greensboro, North Carolina, played three seasons at California, and was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the third round of 2013, 76th overall. He led all rookies with 71 catches for 1,046 yards and eight touchdowns, and Madden NFL 25, the 2013 edition, listed him at 74.
A lacerated kidney ended his 2015 season after eight games, and a torn ACL in the 2016 opener held him to one. He returned in 2017 with 102 catches for 1,393 yards and was named NFL Comeback Player of the Year, the first of six Pro Bowl seasons. He caught 97 passes for 1,196 yards in 2018, which Madden NFL 19 rated 92, and 106 passes for 1,138 yards in 2021, which Madden NFL 22 rated 93.
The Chargers traded him to Chicago before the 2024 season, and he caught 70 passes for 744 yards and seven touchdowns there. He signed with the Chargers again in 2025, reached 1,000 career receptions in his 159th game, fewer than any player before him, and passed Antonio Gates as the franchise's career receptions leader. Through the 2025 season he had 1,055 receptions for 12,051 yards and 70 touchdowns in 171 games.
