Rookie corner who tied the record with three pick-sixes
Janoris Jenkins earned the nickname Jackrabbit long before he made the NFL pay for doubting him. Dismissed from Florida and forced to finish at Division II North Alabama, he slid to the second round, 39th overall, of the 2012 Rams draft, then answered with one of the great rookie corner seasons: four defensive touchdowns, three of them pick-sixes, tying the rookie record.
He spent four years in St. Louis, then signed with the Giants, where he earned second-team All-Pro honors in 2016 and a Pro Bowl trip for that season as a genuine shutdown corner. Later stops in New Orleans, Tennessee, and San Francisco stretched a career that produced 23 interceptions, many of them taken the other way.
Madden logged the rise plainly. He debuted at 74 in the 2012 edition despite that huge rookie year, climbed to 84 by the 2014 release, and hit his ceiling of 89 in the 2017 edition during the heart of his Giants run. The card eased back to the high 80s and then the high 70s, a 79 by the 2021 edition.
