A rookie guard on a Super Bowl line, then the NFL's richest
Kelechi Osemele won a ring in his first season. Drafted 60th overall out of Iowa State in 2012, he started every game at right tackle as a rookie, then slid inside to left guard during the playoff run that ended with Baltimore beating San Francisco in Super Bowl XLVII. He was a mauler in the run game, and Oakland paid for it in 2016 with a five-year, $60 million deal that briefly made him the highest-paid guard in football. He earned first-team All-Pro honors that year and Pro Bowls after the 2016 and 2017 seasons.
The Madden progression followed the paydays. He came in at 69 in the 2012 edition, broke into the 80s in Baltimore, and reached a peak of 92 in the 2017 edition during his Raiders prime. Back and knee injuries dragged the rating to 82 by 2019 as his career wound down through the Jets and Chiefs.
