Mark Ingram II: Heisman winner, 8,111 NFL rushing yards
Mark Ingram II was born on December 21, 1989 in Hackensack, New Jersey, the son of former New York Giants receiver Mark Ingram Sr. He attended high school in Grand Blanc and Flint, Michigan, and at Alabama he rushed for 1,658 yards in 2009 and became the first Alabama player to win the Heisman Trophy. New Orleans drafted him 28th overall in 2011, and Madden NFL 12 listed him at 79 overall for that rookie season.
He reached his first Pro Bowl after the 2014 season. In 2017 he set career highs of 1,124 rushing yards, 12 rushing touchdowns, 58 receptions and 416 receiving yards, and on December 19, 2017 he and Alvin Kamara became the first pair of running backs from one team named to the same Pro Bowl. Madden NFL 18 rated that season 84.
Ingram signed with Baltimore in 2019, rushed for 1,018 yards and made a third Pro Bowl; Madden NFL 20 listed him at 86. He split 2021 between Houston and New Orleans, passing Deuce McAllister as the Saints' all-time leading rusher, and played a final season in 2022 that Madden NFL 23 rated 76. He announced his retirement on July 6, 2023 with 8,111 rushing yards, 65 rushing touchdowns and 303 receptions over 12 seasons.
