A dynamic safety who beat cancer and came back elite

Eric Berry could cover, blitz and hit, one of the best and most versatile defensive backs of his era for Kansas City. His story goes beyond football: diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma, he beat it and returned to All-Pro form, winning Comeback Player of the Year.

Madden had him at 84 as a rookie and a 96 by the 2018 edition, off that remarkable return. Five Pro Bowls in, both his play and his resilience defined the career.
