December 19, 2010 is the play DeSean Jackson will always own. With 14 seconds left and the game tied at 31, he fielded a punt at the New Meadowlands, nearly dropped it, then reversed field and streaked 65 yards for a touchdown on the final snap, the only game-winning punt return on the last play from scrimmage in NFL history.

Jackson was never big, listed at 5'10", but almost no one has ever covered ground faster in a straight line. A second-round pick out of Cal in 2008, he made three Pro Bowls, and in 2010 became the first player chosen at two positions in the same year, receiver and returner. He holds the NFL record with 26 career touchdowns of 60 or more yards and gathered more than 10,000 receiving yards across stops in Philadelphia, Washington, Tampa Bay, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Baltimore.

His Madden ratings honored the deep ball. He broke in at a 78 in the 2008 edition, then jumped to a 91 in both the 2010 and 2011 games as he became the league's premier vertical threat. Even into his mid-thirties the numbers held in the 80s, a rare shelf life for a player whose whole game was speed.
