David Boston was born August 19, 1978, in Humble, Texas, played at Ohio State, and was drafted eighth overall by the Arizona Cardinals in 1999. He caught 40 passes for 473 yards as a rookie, and Madden NFL 2000 put him at a calculated 92 for that season. He followed with 71 catches for 1,156 yards and seven touchdowns in 2000.
In 2001 Boston caught 98 passes for 1,598 yards and eight touchdowns, led the NFL in receiving yards, and was named to the Pro Bowl and first-team All-Pro. Madden NFL 02 listed him at 86 for that season. He played eight games in 2002 and caught 32 passes for 512 yards; Madden NFL 03 rated him a 91 for that year.
He signed with San Diego for 2003 and caught 70 passes for 880 yards, then joined Miami. A knee injury cost him all of 2004, and he played five games for the Dolphins in 2005, catching four passes; Madden NFL 06 had him at 84 for that season. He signed with Tampa Bay in 2006 and later played for the CFL's Toronto Argonauts in 2008. Boston finished with 315 receptions for 4,699 yards and 25 touchdowns in 75 NFL games.
