Kyle Richardson Madden Career 2000-2003 - Peak 78 OVR

Kyle Richardson was the left-footed punter for the 2000 Baltimore Ravens, the flip side of one of the greatest defenses ever assembled. On a team that scored sparingly and won on field position and turnovers, a punter who could pin opponents deep was a genuine weapon, and Richardson helped Baltimore ride that formula to a Super Bowl XXXV title.

Out of Arkansas State, he was not a high-profile prospect, and punters rarely are. His timing with the Ravens put him in the right place for the franchise's defining season, and he later bounced through several other rosters as veteran depth at the position.

His Madden numbers spike exactly where the story does. He sits at 83 in the 2000 edition, then jumps to 89 in the 2001 edition on the strength of that championship run, the rare punter to crack the high 80s. The bump did not last. He falls to 78 in the 2002 edition and drifts down to 74 by 2004 as his career moved past its Baltimore peak.
